Devapo wants to inform you as openly and fully as possible about the cookies that are used. Cookies are used by us to improve your user experience on our website and to tailor advertisements and other content to your preferences and interests.
1. Regulations
From 25 May 2018 the new GDPR law will come into force that will tighten up the rules regarding privacy and the handling of personal data. For this reason, Devapo has taken appropriate measures that will be discussed in the text below. Our privacy policy also tells you how we handle your personal data and what we do with it.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored by your browser during your visit to a website (Internet explorer, Chrome, Safari, Mozzile Firefox, etc.). Information is stored in this text file. At a later visit to the website, this information can be recognized by the website.
Some cookies are necessary for the functionality of the website, but there are also cookies that are simply useful to the user. An example of this is that the website remembers in which language you visited the website, so that you no longer have to select or change it next time. Most cookies keep track of which pages you have visited and in which order.
As long as you as a user do not enter any personal data on the website you visit, the cookie cannot contain this information either. Cookies are also not dangerous in principle, they are not programs and cannot be used for spreading viruses, for example.
